I only just noticed that you have a separate place on your blog for the Trinity. This revelation is so basic and yet so full of mystery.
To me, more than anything, the revelation of God-Trinity helps us to see that the heart of all creation is “relationship” – that no one is separate unless, through sin, we separate ourselves. I think of how, even down to the quanta, the most basic wave/particle elements of the universe, relationship is at work. The Divine Energies holding everything so tenderly in being.
We will never really understand this mystery of Divine Relationship calling us into communion. We can only fall down in wonder – appreciative and in awe of God’s amazing love and mercy for us and for all his creation. As I grow, ever so haltingly, into God’s insistant call (deep within me and abundantly evident in scripture, creation, and the church), I become ever more aware of how undeserving I am and thus more appreciative of God’s mercy and never-ending care for each of us (like the person in the Gospels who loved Jesus more because more had been forgiven).
